An animated euro-house musical! What'll they think of next?

Interstella 5555 (aka The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem) is an animated feature film written to the soundtrack of Daft Punk's 2001 sophomore effort, Discovery. It tells the story of The Crescendolls, a four-piece band from outer space who is kidnapped and brought to Earth, instantly becoming international superstars with a hit song ("One More Time", the first track on Discovery). The movie has a love story, fight scenes, cool spaceships, bad guys, good guys, everything.
The movie is awesome on both the aural and visual level. The movie's audio is simply the Discovery album, front to back. That's it. No vocals, barely any extra effects, no track rearrangement. This movie was made for the album.
Visually, the movie is anime. Now, I'm the first person to say that anime sucks and all those loser anime fans are a bunch of freaks, and Princess Moloko (or whatever) was a shit film, etc. etc. That aside, this movie is pretty teriffic despite the fact that it's anime. The simplicity and minimalism in the animation technique compliments the beats in an amazing way. I have never seen a movie be so attuned to the soundtrack (with Fight Club and Natural Born Killers as not-so-close runner-ups).
If you didn't like Daft Punk before, you will like them after watching this; if you like Daft Punk now, you will love them. Highly recommended!
