i don't think that's the case this time, but I just heard of an employee who as a result of the new cuts is supposed to come in for what's left of her old shift from like 6 until 8 once a week to make, i dunno, $17 minus taxes. [joe biden] come on, let's get real here! [/joe biden]
the nature of working at a theatre is that there's always a rush as movies are letting in/letting out, and not much to do at the other times. so when you see people standing around, it's prolly during one of those lulls.
fwiw, they're doing great box office this month. the timing of these cuts is baffling.
