Special People are rooted in Baltimore / Southern PA. The band was realized in late 2011 by Matthew Riley (red red ruby, human bell) and Alex Strama (mt6 records, heroin uk), when they began writing songs together at a rapid pace. Drummer Drew Pump (bes) and Rich Feinstein (creepy murdle) joined the band shortly after the initial writing sessions.
