First one I've seen in a while that made me chuckle was an SUV driving up Paca with the MD plate "2 SHEDS"

Recent groaners have included:

I'NSUREM (VA plate)
NUMBER1
LOLCAT (have seen this twice around Fells Point)

Say what you will about Long Island, but they seemed to have a better class of vanity plates. Neighbors in Holbrook included a Pathfinder with the plate JUSTNTME (this operating under the assumption that it was a crafty way to say "blow me" rather than just-in-time) and an Outback wagon with the terrifyingly descriptive ARKOFLUV.

That 8th character makes all the difference in the world.
