The audio recordings of both The Death Set and Matt & Kim can be found at Aural States.

The audio recordings of Pharmacy and Naked On The Vague didn’t turn out so good and will not circulate. Sorry.

Team Robespierre is from Brooklyn, NY. I guess it’s punk, I’m not really sure what they’d wanna pigeon-hole their sound as. Whatever you call it, I really enjoyed their set. Very happy people.

Note: The way that this show worked was that Wolter Wierbos came out and played a set first, followed by a set from The Hank Williams Project (HWP). After an intermission, HWP came out and performed a couple of tunes, left the stage and Wierbos came out and played a short set, then HWP came back out and played a couple of tunes with Wierbos. I could have set up the recording to flow in chronologic order, but I prefer to keep each band’s sets separate, if I can. In addition, for myself personally, while the Wierbos sets are cool, I won’t be listening to them as often as I know I’ll be listening to the HWP. In my personal collection, this show consists of three audio cd’s: one with both Wierbos’ sets, one with the HWP early show and another with their late show. You could actually make it a 2 cd set, with the first cd having both Wierbos’ and HWP’s early show, and the second cd containing both sets of the late show.

This was my third time seeing The Ed Schrader Show and the old adage stands tall and true: the third time’s a charm! Not that the previous episodes were lame, far from it. I just thought this show brought more hilarity and Human Host did a fantastic job of laying it out. Adam Endres public service message, The Christoper Ree-view, is both informative and hilarious (though I’m sure fans of Christopher Reeves would disagree). The interview with Jason Willet, founder of local noise band Leprechaun Catering and owner of The True Vine (record store in Hampden) was interesting and disturbing at the same time. The Human Host set was fantastic, albeit much too short (all musical guests’ sets are very short on The Ed Schrader Show). Bathtub Blast is indeed a blast!

Not the whole show was a bed of roses. As expected, Tom Myers made the audience groan more than laugh, though I gotta admit he did a thousand times better than when I saw him last year on The Heathens of Comedy tour. Unfortunately, that’s like saying “This bird shit tastes better than it did last week.” I also didn’t care for Connor’s Performing Cat skit with Connor Keizer and Lesser Gonzalez (as the cat).
